This weekend, while the rest of the world suffered through blistering cold and rainy weather, Amber Rose and her new bestie Blac Chyna were in Miami, soaking up the sun and making it rain on strippers. We were already feeling jealous when POW, Sebastian’s mom posted a pic of her in a g-string bathing suit and did what Kim Kardashian attempted to do with her Paper magazine cover — break the Internet.
“Fleekin,” Amber captioned the racy photo followed by three more sizzling hot flicks. Even Wiz Khalifa, Amber’s estranged husband tweeted, “Yes, my baby’s mother is fine as f*ck.” Yes Wiz, this is true.
But where there are admirers, haters will follow. Critics blasted the 31-year-old mother for posting the steamy visuals. . Amber responded by posting another photo with the caption, “Omg ur a Mother put some clothes on” ……. Kiss my MILFY a*s b*tches.”
One commenter wrote, “Your poor son when he grows up he’s gunna be so embarrassed of his mom. No one wants to touch ur a** it probly stinks.”
Geez. When did being a mom become such a fugly death sentence?
Beyonce faced similar criticism after her performance of “Drunk In Love” at the 2014 Grammy Awards. Bill O’Reily, who’s known for saying outrageous things for shock value, called her “Partition” video “exploitative garbage.”
“Women should own their sexuality,” she told Out magazine. “Men are free and women are not. That is crazy. The old lessons of submissiveness and fragility made us victims. Women are so much more than that.”
She added, “You can be a businesswoman, a mother, an artist, and a feminist—whatever you want to be—and still be a sexual being. It’s not mutually exclusive.”
Jennifer Lopez recently said, in an interview with Complex Magazine, “I’m not allowed to be sexy because I’m a mom? It’s like, how do you think I got my children?”
While Beyonce, J.Lo and Amber Rose were known for their curves and sexy images before giving birth to their children, should they tone it down now because they are mothers? Maybe if they were selling porn like Mimi Faust, but a bathing suit pic should be the least of our worries.
And what ever happened to celebrating a woman’s body? Amber looks freakin’ amazing!
Furthermore, Amber’s husband Wiz Khalifa is a known pot-head who posts photos and videos of himself engaging in drug activity, yet no one seems to say anything about how his behavior will effect his child. Nor did they have anything to say about him (alleged) cheating on his wife? What about the message he is relaying his son? What about the fathers who frequent the strip club and post videos of naked women giving them lap dances? Clearly there is a double standard.
If we had a body like Amber’s after giving birth to a child, you’re damn right we’d show it off too.
