Woman goes missing after posting about upcoming Tinder date

A  woman who told social media followers she was getting ready for a date has been missing for more than a week.

Sydney Loofe was last seen on Nov. 15 in Wilber, a rural town of less than 2,000 people southwest of Lincoln,Nebraska

The 24-year-old had posted a message on Snapchat captioned “ready for my date,” and authorities said Tuesday that her disappearance is “concerning.”

Her friend Terra Gehrig told KLKN that she was going for a second date with a woman she had met on the dating app Tinder, and that her disappearance was completely out of character.

Family pointed out that Loofe’s cellphone pinged a tower the night of her disappearance, but has since been disabled. Her car and cat were also left at home.
