He has pointed out Manchester United as helping him win his fifth Ballon d’Or award.

Before Ronaldo claimed his first Golden Ball 2008, he had already won three Premier League titles and a Champions League while at United.

"I was different from the other kids,” Ronaldo said, "But when I noticed it was really good, I was in (Manchester) United."

The 32-year-old believes that the momentous occasion is still fresh in his mind and all started at his days at Old Trafford. He espressed his gratitude to the Red Devils for helping springboard a fantastic career at the Bernabeu.
