Florida Secretary of State Michael Ertel tendered his resignation on Thursday after photos emerged of the him in blackface at a 2005 Halloween party.
In the pictures published by Tallahssee Democrat, Ertel, 49, is dressed like the highly-offensive mammie character in blackface and red lipstick.
